Purpose: The blog will be introduced as a tool for students to use for online exposure. The web blog will consist of all major coursework done in this class along with descriptions and explanations of each project. It will serve as an online journal of your progression in coursework and an online art portfolio.

Due Date: To be maintained and periodically reviewed by instructor and classmates throughout the entire semester. Final review of the blog will take place for BA113/Studio/02 on 12/9/08 and BA113/Studio/03 on 12/12/08.

Goals:

• To create a visually appealing and informative weblog

• To recognize the importance of updating work online

• To edit your web blog consistently

• To use the blog as an online journal of your progression in this class and share it with classmates

• To display a portfolio of artwork online

• To begin to understand how to transfer your work onto the Internet

Guidelines:

• Customize your blog template. Make the design as visually appealing as possible.

• Post images of all major assignments with brief explanations of each project including your intent and ideas. Instruction for blog posting will be handed out after each assignment is given.

• Add personal posts of information and images as you see fit.

• View classmate’s blogs periodically.

Your Web blog must include:

•Microsoft Word 2008

Brief summary of your reseach report, why you chose the topic you did, and what you

learned from researching it.
